Where Conservation Means Compassion

Every animal deserves care, dignity, and a safe place to thrive.
Through education, advocacy, and hands-on support, we work to protect wildlife and the wild places they call home.

Conservation Dinner Series

Safari West’s conservation work comes to life through our ongoing calendar of events, including our Conservation Dinner Series. These evenings bring scientists, field biologists, and conservation leaders to Safari West to share current research, stories from the field, and practical ways to get involved. Visit our calendar to explore upcoming talks after dinner and join us in supporting wildlife conservation.

About Safari West Zoological Society

A New Chapter of Purpose

In 2026, Safari West is transitioning to nonprofit stewardship with the formation of the Safari West Zoological Society, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation created to advance Research, Education, and Conservation (REC). This step reflects a long-term commitment to placing animal care, conservation science, and education at the heart of Safari West’s future. 501(c)(3) status is currently pending federal IRS determination.

Today, the Safari West Zoological Society ensures that the animals, land, and experiences guests know and love continue without interruption. This nonprofit structure is designed to strengthen animal welfare, expand conservation-based research and education, and safeguard Safari West’s mission for generations to come—so that every visit and every gift helps support lasting, meaningful impact.
